I have over twelve years experience in technical authoring with extensive knowledge in organising translation/localisation for over twenty languages. I have worked with many clients over the full software life cycle and project managed many documentation projects for clients.
English is my mother tongue, but I also have experience in French and German.
My portfolio of skills includes:
- Extensive use of XML and converting to other formats with XSLT.
- Expert in FrameMaker and FrameMakeSGML.
- Expert in MS Office applications, including Word, Viso and Powerpoint.
- Experienced in database design and maintenance.
- Experience with many CMS, both bespoke and off the shelf.
- Management of review and translation process using Simplified English to aid in translation, increasing understanding for non native speakers and reducing costs.
